ABOUT

Space is accessible to all. So is the adventure.

Look up and discover a new world.

Look around with curiosity and be part of the adventure.

Explore our solar system, the galaxy, the universe and beyond !

Nowadays, scientific space missions reveal a fascinating world

that goes beyond science fiction.

The lectures are illustrated slide shows that do not require any particular knowledge. They let images and discoveries of European space missions speak for themselves.

This adventure is also yours.

ASTRONOMY IMAGE PROCESSING

Dev FITS files.jpg

The science satellite of the European Space Agency are equipped with cameras that can split their vision of the Universe in different wave lengths. Combining these different images, which are delivered by the cameras in black and white, enables us to obtain a fully colorised image, as if it was seen by human eyes.

THE SPACE MISSIONS OF THE
EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY

The conferences are unveiling the astronomy and solar system exploration missions of the European Space Agency (ESA). Christophe Carreau worked for 30 years at the ESA Science directorate. He developed and designed the visuals and the graphic designs to communicate and share information about space science projects and discoveries with the general public.

Christophe Carreau processed raw astronomical images from on-board cameras of the space telescopes

and produced artist impressions. He is writing scripts in close collaboration with scientific teams.

Christophe Carreau gives conferences and public talks at air shows, schools, colleges, universities, institutes and associations. Christophe is sharing his passion for space exploration by taking part in the ESA ambassadorship program #ESAchampions
